Granado Espada real life references III. Did you know...?

    Hello Pioneers and Fans!

We cannot talk about Granado Espada real life references without talking about GE towns. Some references are very obvious.

    COIMBRA
Real world Coimbra is located in Portugal and it was the capital of this country from 1131 to 1255. The University of Coimbra was founded on March 1st, 1290, and it is the oldest academic institution in the Portuguese speaking world. Its foundation helped Coimbra to evolve into a major cultural centre. University of Coimbra historical buildings were classified as a World Heritage site by UNESCO in 2013.

Crossed by the Mondego River, narrow streets, patios, stairs and medieval arches, Coimbra was the birthplace of six Portuguese kings and the first dynasty.

    Question for Pioneers
Do you think real Coimbra looks like Port of Coimbra in GE world?

    AUCH
We also can find a real world Auch. Located in southwestern France, Auch is the historical capital of Gascony, in the Midi-Pyrenee. Auch is a very ancient town, whose settlement was noted by the Romans during their conquest of the area in the 50s BC.

Auch is the homeland of D Artagnan, the legendary captain of the guard of musketeers, literary character created by Alexandre Dumas, based on the real life person Charles de Batz, Comte d Artagnan born nearby in the Chateau de Castelmore.

Auch is also known for its Renaissance Cathedrale Sainte-Marie with its magnificent organ, carved stalls and rose stained-glass windows.

    VIRON
Viron is also based in real world, but I will talk about it next week.

    Homeworks for Pioneers
With the following hints, locate where Viron inspired in real world is.

Last week I said next time would be a little more difficult.
    Have fun with the research!

Coimbra in game looks so similar to real Coimbra.

My only idea of what Viron is based is Ponta Delgada on the Azores. Just cause of clock tower.

    Vyronas
Vyronas (Greek: Βύρωνας) is a suburban town and a municipality in the southeastern part of the Athens agglomeration, Greece. The town is named after George Gordon Byron, 6th Baron Byron, the famous English poet and writer, who is a national hero of Greece. Formerly part of the city of Athens, Vyronas was created as a community in 1933, and became a municipality in 1934.[2]

Vironbased on England >>>Herne Bay Pier lol Old are one-time traditional subdivisions of the English county of Kent, kept alive by the Association of the Men of Kent and Kentish Men: an organisation formed in 1913. The division may have risen from the ethnic differences approximately 1,500 years ago between the Jutish settlement of the east of the county and the Saxon presence in the west, although its origins are somewhat obscure. Residents of East Kent, those living East / south of the River Medway, are called 'Men (or Maids) of Kent', as opposed to residents of West Kent, who are known as 'Kentish Men' or 'Kentish Maids'.

I was not even close? Darn this is hard.
With the help of wikipedia and google I found few more candidates.

Monchique Islet, Azores Islands, Portugal or Capelinhos volcano, Faial Island, Azores, Portugal.
My last hope is Cabo da Roca, Portugal.

For some reason copy pasting Wikipedia text does not go well with this forum

It can't be Iceland or Bermuda right? T_T

From the description, I am also thinking it's Cabo da Roca, referred to as the 'end of the world' by the Romans who occupied it, way before the Age of Exploration.

Pffft this is hard XD I've also just now noticed a peninsula called Cape Finisterre, which the Romans also believed to be the end of the world (finis terrae) at some point
