    It's still worth to play?

    Hello!
It's this game still worth to play for a new player, or there's no new people? Actually i'm looking for some mmo that will give me some fun and its not ghost town type.

There are still lots of active players but this is more of an old school MMO so there's a lot of grinding and you won't get to endgame as fast as the newer ones. But if you're not that into competitive gaming and just want to chill it's decent.

    Pro:
Unique style. Visuals are great (not in technical way tho, but STYLE)
Unique features. Basically GE = MMORPG + CCG + Pokemon. Feels great.
Still alive... Kinda. It wasn`t even popular on its peak, but it`s loyal player base really loves GE. You can easily find guides and other stuff for modern content (even tho it`s from the same 3-4 ppl during last few years).
Amazingly flex. You have 3 slots, each can be used by ~200 different NPCs, some of which can have VERY different gameplay styles. And until you go for a pure trolling (like 3xValeria) you can still be viable.
Time-saving. You don`t have to grind by yourself during your quests or leveling. You simply press spacebar and go watch another movie or youtube show. Basically...like a mobile games.
AFK mode is NOT like incremental\idle\etc games. It`s not like the game is playing itself. You still do stuff.
Most of cash items can be bought from MM, but sometimes prices will scare you.

    Cons:
-Graphics are outdated. Style can carry stuff, but some stuff still makes you remember that you`re playing a game that`s older then many youtubers.
-Difference in setups and choosing the NPCs really... dies in lategame. The game currently have a very strong meta- while you can finish questlines with any setup, lategame raids will force you to use a chars from a waaaay shorter list (like 20% of the whole amount of chars). You simply cant scale stock fighter into lategame PvE.
-Monetization... Do you love lootboxes? Most ppl don`t. Battlefront II was crushed due to stat related stuff in lootboxes. GE had it like 10 years ago. And GE still have a regular monthly lootboxes, which hardly affects gameplay. Weapons, Armors (hello LB special rewards), accessoires, etc... You can get pre-end tier equip by simply throwing a lot of money into your display.
-No endgame balance. Basically said above.
-It`s a great time-spender. You don`t have to stare at your monitor and press buttons for hours to complete quests, but you still have to spend a lot of hours for AFK grinding. You`ll have to find a PC that you can keep powered on for a long time (no bitcoin mining, GE was like that for all the time).
    - It`s VERY repetative during lategame. Too schelduled. When you`ll hit centrain level , you`ll start doing a lot of daily stuff. The same stuff every day. For months.

I`ll still advice you to try it. Like.. Most of GE problems is endgame ones. You can find a lot of fun during your 1st couple of months of gameplay. It`s not gonna hurt if you try.

Lootboxes was actually normal for a lot of different MMORPGs when GE got them (1st versions with Dragon equip).
Perfect World (and basically most of games from PWI) used it, Atlantica Online had it as a basis for monetization (and in a way GE currently doing, but with a kind of more "fair" cheating without hidden numbers and arguable advantages. In Atlantica every single new lootbox offers an item ~5% more powerful then previous one.). It`s just the fact that modern players got a wave of hate after Battlefront II.
GE`s AFK mechanics actually have nothing to do with Autochess. JGE do, tho, with their "Auto missions".
GE`s AFK mechanics is actually closer to idle games, which was a trend like 2-4 years ago. And yeah, GE is not the only MMO that featured it. PWI games (Jade Dynasty, Battle of Immortals) had it too (with the same problems like spot sharing).
Actually what`s unique in GE is a mix of ideas, not ideas itself. CCG+MMO idea was in Atlantica, auto battle in JD, etc. 1-2 years gap between the games` releases is not really matter there, as MMO development is waaaaaay longer cycle, so even if GE introduced some ideas a year or two earlier then other games- they still had it in development.
And actually GE tried to fit even more trends. Battle Arena, for example, was a good example of implementing MOBA elements. Expeditions is basically Harrison\Class Hall\Expeditions from WoW or social networks` games.
